☁ Dressmaking Class at the Community Centre { Course Review }

It never crossed my mind, that I would took a sewing/dressmaking class. My first sewing machine, image is from here My background is in architecture, and when I quit my job, I was thinking to do a work that can be done from home. I love design, I once entered a shoe design competition in Jakarta and got in as a semifinalist. But for shoes, it is a complex industry, and not easy looking for the resources. I was thinking to start a small clothing business, and to do that I need to know the basic, I wanted to know how to make a dress, how much fabric I needed, how much time, etc. That's why out of the curiosity, I signed up for a sewing class. I searched for courses in Singapore, and sewing course is quite expensive. Thankfully, I came across a Dressmaking Class at one of Singapore's Community Centre. It is only 75 S$ per term (8 classes). I took kick boxing and guitar class at the CC previously, and was so far not disappointed :)

Where to buy affordable Montessori materials in Singapore (part I)

As mentioned earlier in my last post , Montessori learning for babies and toddler is activities that support development of physical skills and sensory experience. That includes: - heuristic play, - song, rhymes, stories and books, - nature play (play outside) - simple puzzles and manipulative toys - early practical and sensorial activities, development of vocabularies are available to the older toddlers. The use of natural material (wood, weaves, fabric) is encouraged to create a calm play environment. I personally not against plastic toys, but now I try limit the use and exposure. ☁ Childbirth/Antenatal Class Mount Alvernia Hospital Singapore { Course Review }

On my 30th weeks of pregnancy, I sourced for post-natal needs which are : - Confinement nanny - Post-natal massage - Tingkat (catering) delivery - Part time maid Since my mommy-in-law confirmed that she can stay with me for 1 month after my delivery, so I was no longer looked for confinement nanny, which at that time is already too close to my EDD. The schedule of Confinement nanny in Singapore is as tight as Johnny Depp's , don't forget to book 6 months in advance! And at that time, I was thinking if my mother was there, it might be easier to look for motherly advise.
